Reimagining the Pharmaceutical Industry with a Hybrid Workspace
Capital Rx - A pharmacy benefit management company coordinates prescription benefit plans for hospitals, cities, businesses, and more. Over the last three years, Cap Rx has become the fastest-growing PBM in the United States with its innovative approach to reimagining the drug pricing framework. Capital Rx focuses on making life easier for members and their sponsors, from full-service pharmacy benefits management to pharmacy benefits administration to prescription savings.

Challenge

Cap Rx recently upgraded to a beautiful new office in New York City across from the World Trade Center that contains around 75 desks/seating areas. With hiring and growth projections, Cap Rx believes they will have about 150-200 employees, making it difficult to utilize the space they just moved into. As new employees are added to the team, having some sort of system is a must in order to accommodate the current office size.

When new employees come into an office space, they can quickly become confused about the workflow and how coworkers typically collaborate. In the fast-paced pharmaceutical industry, working with team members quickly and having an easy-to-navigate space is essential. With COVID-19 still around, leadership also needed some way to track employees who had gotten the vaccine and those who hadn’t.

To find the right balance, Capital Rx decided that the hybrid office software from inspace would make the office more manageable and easier to use for both current staff and new hires.

The Cap Rx office utilizes a few types of working spaces: rows of individual desk space for solo workers, meeting rooms for collaboration and team projects, and open lounging areas for flexible use. This mix allows employees to utilize different areas for their working needs while in the office.

Solution

With office space limited and the pandemic a very real problem still, leadership at Cap Rx decided that they wanted some way to keep track of employees that had gotten the vaccine versus those who hadn’t for the safety of all. In just two weeks, inspace was able to provide a brand new feature on the current software to include vaccination status.

inspace devices were placed on each individual desk space, at flexible use areas, and on meeting rooms for employees to easily view and book on their smartphones. By simply downloading the inspace app, Cap Rx new hires are now able to navigate their way through the office and know exactly where their new team members are located to ask any questions they may have.

Capital RX's interactive floor plan allows users to easily see available and booked spaces. Clicking into any booked space will show user information for the booking. Clicking into available spaces allows the user to check in to that space.

Final Result

As Cap Rx continues to grow, they will be able to use inspace’s workspace management system to support new employees and assist current staff with their changing workload. With office analytics, Cap Rx leadership will better understand how its office is being used and how to keep their employees safe.
