Open Office vs. Activity-based Workplace

An open office emphasizes a more communal workspace, eliminated cubicles, and walls between people, companies implement open office plans to encourage communication between employees, there is a lot of debate as to whether or not these open office plans are efficient or not. An Activity-based workplace consists more of a variety of different workspaces that serve different purposes based on the ‘activity’ that needs to be completed, for example, phone booths, lounge areas, meeting rooms etcetera.
